Emma Balder received her BFA in Painting from SCAD and has exhibited extensively in galleries and museums. She was awarded a one-year fellowship at Vermont Studio Center and received a full SACI grant from Houston Arts Alliance in 2022. Balder has been written about in Houston Chronicle, Denver Life Magazine, 303 Magazine and more.
