SONIC BLOOM is committed to sustainability and is teaming up with r.Cup to eliminate single-use waste at this year’s festival. By switching to reuse, you’re helping reduce waste, CO2 emissions and overall climate impact!
HOW IT WORKS:
- Guests get r.Cup with drinks at SONIC BLOOM
- Guests return used cups to our clearly labeled r.Cup Bins.
- After cups are returned to the r.Cup Bins, our team picks up, washes, sanitizes, inspects and repackages cups. They will then be used again and again and again.
WHY REUSE?
- Climate change is real, intense, and widespread!
- Single-use waste contributes greatly to this growing crisis. Live Events use more than 4 BILLION single-use cups per year (in the US, alone!)
- Every American throws away 363 single-use cups each year. 330 million Americans = 120 billion single-use cups discarded.
- Reuse is an easy and effective way to eliminate waste. r.Cup has already eliminatedmillions of single-use cups … and counting. Each r.Cup can be used hundreds oftimes!
- It takes less than 3 oz of water to wash an r.Cup compared to 66 oz to make asingle-use cup.
r.Cup is the nation’s leading reuse platform. Many people might not realize this
startling fact: live events send 4 BILLION single-use cups to the landfill every year (in the US alone!)
Together, we’re changing that and you will be part of an amazing effort to eliminate single-use waste across Colorado and the nation.
r.Cup’s reuse partners include global artists like U2, Jack Johnson, Maggie Rogers, Dave Matthews Band, Bon Iver, Rolling Stones and more, plus trailblazing cities, venues, festivals, live events, and now … SONIC BLOOM!
