Yoga/Movement Class
I am a certified yoga teacher in Iyengar, Hatha, Vinyasa and Kundalini (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) yoga. I am also a certified Level 3 Reiki practitioner. I have 10+ years of experience teaching Iyengar and Hatha yoga, and I specialize in biomechanics of the body. I have over 4 years of experience leading Yoga Teacher Training Intensives and 8 years teaching classes at yoga studios for international students in Mazunte, Mexico.
Yoga Biomechanics & Trauma Release
Bring your body into balance and release stored trauma by moving beyond the asanas to cultivate a deeper awareness of yoga biomechanics and postural alignment. By developing an intuitive understanding of how the muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments of the body all work together to create fluid movement, we can correct postures as needed to relieve pain, enhance flexibility and increase joint mobility, all while learning tools to release trauma in the body.
In this class we will combine breath and body awareness with yoga asanas and meditation to help form new neural pathways in the brain, relax the nervous system, release stored trauma, and balance the body.
This yoga workshop is appropriate for all levels of experience and can be taught in English or bilingually in both English and Spanish.
conscious breathing
We will delve into the conscious work of breathing, to understand its importance in the natural processes of the body and how through it we can heal diseases and restore the nervous system, control our energy and have a longer life.
